How do you follow up a September College football Saturday?
I'm not sure I know the answer for everyone but I know the answer for some of us- it's the Saltlife Yall!!!
Salt life is the life for God Sakes my friend's and customer's!
I got up this morning took my Yorkshire terrier to the Fairhope pier with my boat behind Mike Dubose's Tahoe!
I am serious! It was Mike Dubose's Tahoe in 99 and lord knows who has been in the truck my dad was the second owner of and when I get it paid for I will be the 3rd owner!

After I took Boo Boo to the pier I put out a few flyer's had breakfast went to Walmart bought a fishing license drove over to Bay Shores Market bought two red mountain dews and a slice of pizza and stopped at Bucks pier street convenience store bought some bait and launched my 88 Negus!
My 88 Evinrude 88 purred like a kitten as I eased out from the dock listening to Cat Sirten's Sunday Jazz Brunch on WZEW 92.1!
It was a beautiful day to be on the water my friend's!
Fantastic NNE breeze and blue skies!
Yall I haven't been fishing this year and to be honest "I like to troll" so I didn't expect to catch no big specks or reds!
I would have been happy with a white-trout or a dang Croaker so I eased out to a channel piling off Fly Creek Marina and anchored out.
I put out a popping cork with a dead shrimp and rigged up a leader, weight and a hook to try my luck close in to that piling.
I was hoping for a sheep head near the piling but heck I was happy with three hard head cats!
I soon got bored and pulled anchor and eased South.
I tasted the water and it just wasn't salty enough for me!
South of Fairhope Pier a dang small Spanish Mackerel jumped within three feet of me off the Star-board side!
It could have been a Skip-Jack but sure looked like yellow spots on him to me. I tasted the water again and I'll be danged if it wasn't much saltier!
I thought to myself those Pelicans I just passed sure were divin on something so I put out a Christmas Tree rig and trolled North back to those Pelicans then back South Again before giving up on that possibility!
Yall if I had caught a small Spanish Mackerel I would have been happy to release him.
Just the thrill of hooking one would have done me just fine!
I gave up on fishing and headed South around Point Clear and once South of Point Clear I passed Zundel's Fishing Reef and my cousin's namesake reef Peter Grey Cane Junior's Fishing Reef when I noticed a pretty strong Squall to the South.
I turned North and thought of ISIS doing Doughnuts in our damn Armored Personnel Carrier so I did a couple in my boat and thought to "Hell with them Son-of-a-bitch's"!
"We could do doughnuts around them in one of our M-1 Abrams- firing at will!"
I headed on back up North along the beach and took some photo's for you of the Reef's The State of Alabama has put in place to encourage in-shore fishing!
The reef just North of Point Clear is Battle's Wharf Reef!

I eased out to a boat North of Point clear that was on a "Dolphin Tourism Cruise".
I had seen them earlier and thought if I wasn't lucky enough to know them maybe they had spotted some fish and they damn well had so I waved and left them alone!
I headed on back to the ramp with my boat and "Man did I have a great time"!
I hope you get a chance to do the same soon!
The fishing is gonna get better and better and it's always a pleasure to cruise Mobile Bay fishing or Not!
I hope you will continue on past the following statement and enjoy your "visit" to my Site and visit my store and not hold it against me- cause were all family anyway!
Not bad for an ADHD person that wishes they were on some Adderall XR or Vyvanse so they could accomplish three goals in Life in the second half of life or less!
