Ships Log 071715-A: The Shortest Boat Ride!

Friend's and Customer's,

Good God! I know I look fit to be tied but not quite as bad this bad would indicate.

Anyway.

It's been a few days since I wrote a post but I did manage to make the shortest and most least likely to reach the top 100 boating trips Wednesday night the 15th.

I had planned a short pleasure cruise with anchoring at some point to listen to some music or to maybe wet a hook but I hadn't had the opportunity to listen to the weather radio and it was rough as hell with nice brisk south-west wind blowing up some pretty nice chop at Pier Street Landing!

That wasn't about to stop me because the night before I had gotten to the ramp so late I just wasn't in state of mind to launch the boat. 

Actually truth be known I had to get fuel and forgot that the gallon of outboard oil in the back of my truck was almost empty and I drove home to get some more oil after having bought one pint at Bay Shores Market.

I got home with tail-lights not working and just said the Hell with it for the night.

So I launched the damn boat in the heavy chop and idled off the beach a few hundred feet and dropped anchor.

I laid back in my seat kicked up my feet put the radio on the bow and had some Vienna sausages and chips.

I was the only fool at the launching ramp with a boat I realized when I got back to the dock but you know what?

I'm glad I went out there even if my I die from the damn experience!

If you notice the items out front of the store the fenders well you might be able use them too not to mention the two white bucket seats I took off my boat and the bait well. I even have a Crab Trap and Float out there you might could use!
