Ships Log 070516-A: Did you get your Boat in the Water.

Friend's and Customer's,

Did you get your Boat out on the Water for the Holiday Weekend?

I hope so my Friend's!

John Paul Jones I am not but I did get mine out in the water this weekend and to the destination I had planned to set a course to so that I could land my dumb ass on the Beach!

It was just a wonderful course to set in my Negus that is actually a pretty dry boat if you head straight into the damn waves!

Naw actually it wasn't too bad of a day although I didn't even attempt to go out on Dixie Bar where I should have been having a few shots of Tequilla- I might have even caught some fish.

No I should have been on the East side of the bar catching some fish.

I can't see well enough to find any of my friends from either side of Mobile Bay to find them on Sand Island anyway.

It was beautiful out there on Sand Island.

I did pull one boat back to Billy Goat Hole and let me say even though it is much improved harbor from when I was in my 20's keep an eye on both the Ferry's.

As I was crossing Mobile pass I had noticed the Ferry leaving Fort Morgan and coming back to Billy Goat Hole I was hoping to be far enough ahead of the Ferry that again was crossing Mobile Bay to Billy Goat Hole that we would get to the dock in plenty of time that our docking would not interfere with the Larger Craft that has the Right-of-Way not to mention getting run over by a Ferry is not my idea of a successful day on the Water!

Of course by the time we got to the drop off point the Ferry was coming in astern of us so I had to change course to the North up the pass to Dauphin Island Bay so as to not interfere with the other multiple boats that had made their way toward Billy Goat Hole and would arrive right behind us that I had also tried to determine prior to reaching Billy Goat Hole myself with a boat in Tow.

To make a long story short Billy Goat Hole got my Goat anyway so I was glad to get out of there cause although I feel the Test of getting them back- I would have given myself a D at best.

I looked out that way crossing the ship channel no less and noticed a few boats out that way but I just decided to wait until next weekend!
