Ships Log 051015-A: Thank you mother for having me- I almost had one of Gods Creations in Sight!

Friends and Customers,

First let me say "Mother thank you for having me! I don't youll get a chance to read this or not but I hope you do anyway."

Friends what a beautiful day it was on Dixie Bar Today!!

I was surprised when I crossed the bar to the East side and found birds and fish everywhere!

I mean friends they were every where but please be careful crossing that Dixie Bar a man a ship or boat has found herself and her crew foundering on Dixie Bar!

I first had a bump on a yellow sea-switch with a cigar minnow trailing. I saw they were Spanish Mackeral on Top and wondered if they were legal limit so I put out a red and silver Spanish Mackeral Bait with a silver spoon.

I got one on!

It wasn't on good enough and the fish was gone and I had another bump or strike that was a little harder on a White "Ling Getter" with a yellow and Chartruese Sea-Witch.

Gone though yall!

I wanted to pull the lines to get home get the boat cleaned up and go see my mother when I idled back to bring in the Lines.

The Tide was coming in and I was trolling back west when I Idled back.

Boom!!!!!!

The Reel started to sing and the line started heading North-West away from the boat and to Port-side!

The South-East wind had me sideways in the waves as I slowly eased down on the drag and reeled like hell cause the boat and the fish was headed North-West!!

Then the fish did something a little different. It circled around the bow and headed East fast!

I eased down on the drag a little more.

I got the fish a little closer to the boat and it dove again!

I eased down on the drag and for a minute longer screaming the whole time "I though I had a big one on the line but I guess it saw the boat and I couldn't hold the fish.

Friends as I passed the buoy for the Tecumseh I thought "Damn the Torpedoes and full speed back to big mouth!

I haven't figured out if it broke the line or bit the damn leader half cause I gotta wash that boat and go see my mother cause "I'm damn glad she had me!"

If you notice the items out front of the store the Bimini top is on consignment and the fenders well you might be able use them too not to mention the two white bucket seats I took off my boat and the bait well.
