Ships log 102916-A: An Early Thank you for a Fantastic October 2016!

                                                   

Friend's and Customer's,

First of all let me send out an early thank you to my customer's, Friend's and hell To be honest with you to my Father who is rebuilding a Shamrock himself for helping me reach the Top 10 in Monthly Sales here at Battleship Marine in October- of all months!

Thank you for your business, friendship and patience as I try to build a Marine Supply Store here for you that is stocked with supplies that will satisfy your needs and save you that time and money again! Boating Supplies, Marine Engine Parts or Boat Trailers and parts!

2017 will be my 6th year in business at this location and I plan to make this Marine Supply Store even better for you my friend's in 2017!

I picked up and read a little out of President Clinton's book Giving Last night and to be honest without customers it's mighty hard to set up anything much less a Foundation for this or that Cause that I would like to see more of in The United States of America that helps the little person have a chance through hard work and an easy to get small loan to purchase a piece of equipment or the materials needed or for that matter merchandise to improve your business!

 My mother told me before she passed - keep that store Open Clifton!

The President Clinton "Giving" book?

The more I read of it the more I think about my own business and I thought last night "Three Straight Year's of Showing a Profit" before I would even consider any type of loan for a retail business including my friend's my own for any improvements!

I have made that mistake and it can be overcome but it takes a lot more than you think because your investors have to maintain confidence in you that just take my word for it is hard very hard to gain much-less maintain in the beginning. 

Don't borrow money to start a business and borrow money for Equipment, Materials or Merchandise until you have determined the shortest length of time it will take to meet your overall expenses and payments and that my friend's in retail is 3 year's Minimum in my Opinion.

5 to the SBA I believe.

You can buy a house in two year's with three good consistent credit scores and no judgments or high debt to income ratio's because of Credit Card Debt that has high monthly minimums - buy yourself a house!

Hang on to it for dear life in bad times and earn some equity in it if possible!

Hell I used to build houses and President Clinton's book mentions Habitat for Humanity one of my favorite charity's that is not really a hand out but a chance to feel like you have earned your home and a chance to pay for it and have that equity one day!

I think it makes you feel better to work for what you get and since I was taught that from day one I realized what my parent's were trying to instill in me!

It just feels good to work for and pay for something on this planet as an individual! 

Construction Equipment or Operating Expenses for a construction business can be paid back or just the operating expenses can be paid in a shorter period of time out of the proceeds of your successful bids if you stay on top of it and know what you are doing not to mention have a Helluva Team around you!

I did it once so you can too and this business?

I've had some help or it wouldn't be here but it can be made bigger and better!

"Always remember that each and everything or to be even more precise detail that helped you to succeed even minutely in the past will do the same thing over and over again in the future!"

"What didn't work for your success in the past will not work in the future not one thing!"

"Physical and Mental Strength is something even President Clinton needed from Hillary after his 1st loss in politics and she realized it and saved the man!"

He returned the favor in my opinion when he and George W. Bush spent time together in Haiti at the least!

Hell at least I have a goal that I hang on too and maybe a couple of goals for that matter!

Excuse my advice but please plan to stay in business. You spend an entire life striving for knowledge to succeed then let someone or something distract you from your business so that you have to face those people or distractions, etc. when you have made decisions that were not well thought out after planning the whole dad-gum kit and ka-bootle out thoroughly!

Instinct is place blame but if you are the one that got distracted one two many times then it is your fault and somehow through different levels of stress you are supposed to recognize those distractions and at least try to get them out of your decision making processes long enough to limit mistakes.

Hell!

Bama isn't playing today but a lot of you out there have your team that is playing somewhere but lord the fish ought a be biting with this dry weather and clear water - my goodness the fish most likely are even a little further up the Delta in water that may be a little more salty than normal with some nice shrimp that we should have out in the bay when a real cold front passes!

It's probably pretty nice at Gulf Shores and Orange Beach too!

I jumped out of bed this morning on the wrong track that in hindsight I just can't figure but I hopefully found the right track and the Cubs won for their fans and the 104 year-old lady that wanted them to win one for her before she died. 

I hope she meant the World Series and is still excited and not just one game because that team has several examples of over coming incredible odds to be where they are upon their return to Chicago Friday night including quite a curse!
