Journal Entry 031514-A: One more day and were past the half-way point in March 2014!

Friends,

One more day in the month of March and we are past the half-way mark in this month and I appreciate your business to this point in 2014 and your visits to my web-sites very much! I look forward to this boating season very much and I hope to not only see you in the store but also on the water but although it was a blast in that storm last year in the Gulf of Mexico "I have no intentions of putting myself and my back in another storm in the Gulf of Mexico anytime soon"!

I was counting the number of boats I have owned in my life the other day and two of them were owned either jointly with my ex-wife Valerie or the last power boat we owned may have been hers only as it was meant to be so to keep the number from 13 (A very bad number) let's just say I have owned 12 including the one parked here at Battleship Marine a 1988 17' Negus with a 1988 88 horse-power Evinrude!

Let's see how many outboard motors have I owned. I have owned 9. I have owned 2 Mercruisers so that's a total of 11 Marine engines. I'm not bragging just reminiscing. the one boat I have never owned is a Sailboat. I would love to say I have. I've sailed once in my entire life with a friend who is now in heaven for Christ Sakes!

He sure as hell deserves to be. He loved fishing more than I do and had a heart-attack at work as the manager of the Super-Lube in Tillman's Corner, Alabama when he was very young. He only within the last few years passed. Like I said he is in Heaven.

He had a Chrysler Sailboat and we had a chance to sail together on that boat when I was barely in my teens. I never will forget the Peacefulness of hearing nothing but the wind in the rigging and the waves splashing over the gunnel!

God Bless Michael Patin and your family.

Michael you fished when no one else wanted to and caught fish! The rest of kids may have thought what I thought "My God he has Patience"!

You couldn't catch nothing but hard-head catfish on Hollinger's Island in the 70's and 80's unless you had the patience of Job! Lord. I don't have the patience of Job. I like to Troll for my fish and enjoy the ride!
